INTRODUCTION
The site of the Society of Nubian Cultures (Société des Cultures Nubiennes, SCN) has, as its objective, to present Nubia from an essentially historical and archaeological point of view. Based on knowledge collected by SCN and the reference work published in 2002 by its founder and president, Joy Soulé-Nan, with the title ‘La Nubie des Pyramides', the site is accessible to anyone. It is a gateway of certified information, elaborated by experts. It will serve as a work of reference for specialists in Egyptology and Nubiology (both Egyptian and Sudanese), students and guides, but equally a source of practical information for amateur égyptologists and tourists in search of new territories to discover.
